CashLog was a passion project I started working on back in March since I help out my uncle with his bookkeeping around tax season (he installs lockers for new buildings). This usually meant organizing his handwritten invoices and searching for receipts scattered across trucks and kitchen drawers. The tools built to fix that were either enterprise software meant for entire teams or accounting platforms that ask a plumber to think like a bookkeeper. So over the course of a few months, I built something to accomplish 2 simple tasks: invoicing and expensing. The goal was to make it all work from a phone, and make it easy to use without all the bells and whistles that folks won't ever touch.
